Fantastic mahogany Campaign desk or military travelling desk in original untouched condition. The box is opened by pushing the lock button for release and then the top clicks into place to give a sturdy surface. A further two brass buttons underneath will release the top and close it. The leather lined interior is all original with compartments for pens, paper and an inkwell. The X framed mahogany legs are united by an elegant tapering fluted stretcher. This desk is a fantastic colour with amazing patination and is well constructed with solid joints. A fabulous piece of history that can still be a used as a functional desk today and easily stored in confined area.
