Victorian Walnut Balloon Back Chair

An elegant antique Victorian balloon back chair in walnut. A good example with attractively shaped and carved back, stuffover seat and shaped cabriole legs. The seats have been newly reupholstered in a cream brocade fabric. Warm patina, very solid and newly reupholstered. A decorative high quality chair dating from circa 1870, would make a beautiful dressing table chair or desk chair.

Solid frame. Lovely age and patina. An old mend to the back splat and to the top rail now solid (see photos). Other wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly reupholstered.
