Victorian Walnut Domed top stationery box

A beautiful Victorian Walnut stationery box of the highest quality with a lovely rich patina, having a domed top with ornate brass strapping.
The top opens up to reveal a lined compartment for holding papers and letters. The lid too is lined with green fabric. I am not sure that the fabric lining is original but it is in keeping and has been done some time ago.
Circa 1860

It is in good condition and although it has been used it has obviously been very well looked after over the years. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and light use but nothing detrimental, overall it displays beautifully.
