Title - Tavistock - Evening
Details - Original watercolour. Seems to be from a sketchbook - the painting is pasted to the back board of the sketchbook in the mount. Dated on the painting 29 Nov 1883 5.30pm. Not signed. The frame of the picture was badly damaged, but the artist and titled were mentioned on the backboard of the frame. We have disposed of the frame but retained the backboard, which will be sent with the picture.
Condition - Overall in good condition with good colours. There is some minor wear to the frame. The mount is discoloured (browned) and has some marks. The backboard is also discoloured and has some scuffing.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Visible Image - 25.5cm by 17.5cm
Mount - 38cm by 30.5cm. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
