Victorian Windsor Chair

Circa 1870, Victorian copy of a Georgian comb back Windsor chair. The chair is made of elm and yew, with the classic curved top supported by four spindles each side and a carved out centre splat with open fretwork. The stylish shaped arms have curved ends and are held in position by 6 various sized turned spindles. The centre splat continues down into the seat. The seat itself is elm and is scooped out of one piece of wood. Beneath this are four splayed turned legs united by turned stretchers. Excellent colour and good patination.
Size 107cm high x 64cm wide x 46cm deep.
