Vintage compact mirrors Cyprus souvenir compacts. A delightful vintage glitter compact unused with all the original accessories in the finest condition
possible. This gorgeous vintage powder compact was made in the 1950s by Melissa & it has an attractive engine turned design showing roses & cut out clam shell like guiloche design.
In the middle set atop a foil like glitter panel is the coat of arms for British Colonial Cyrus c.1950 & also a variation of the Cyprus Regiment - a shield charged with two lions passant guardant in silver.
This powder compact has never been used. The original box, signed pouch, puff & sifter are all present. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror is perfect. The mirror bezel (frame) is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND". The base is decorated with a fine spiral. Measures 8.5 cm & weighs 79.6 grams.
