A gorgeous Art Deco compact in good condition. The front shows stylized tulips in a beautiful
Art Deco design. The lipstick is fashioned in a geometric shape in keeping with the Deco
theme. The original sticker is in place " PETAL PINK ". The top bears the Richard Hudnut
coat of arms. The inner lipstick case is signed " DUBARRY MADE IN U.S.A. RICHARD HUDNUT
NEW YORK-DISTRIBUTOR-PARIS CAPLOCK PAT. 201330 ". The original light pink lipstick
is in place although I can not get it to rise.
The mirror gives a clear reflection as you will be able to see from photograph two but it has a few age related marks visible. The inner lid has a clip fitted to it perhaps to form an aide memoire. Certainly it could hold notes or even a small note pad. The original puff is in place. It is signed
" RICHARD HUDNUT ". The base is just as delightful as the lid having a herring bone style
of decoration. The base is signed " RICHARD HUDNUT NEW YORK - PARIS DISTRIBUTOR
MADE IN U.S.A. "
What a classy authentic Art Deco present.
This compact duo measures 81/2 cm X 6 cm.
