Vintage French haberdashery cabinet
A vintage French, 3 drawer haberdashery cabinet.
Circa 1950-60s, this cabinet would have been used for holding various cottons / yarns.
It is marked for Thiriez & Cartier-Bresson and would have sat in a haberdashery shop.
Similar in construction to the Dewhurst Sylko type drawers, the carcass is made from a thin ply covered in a leather effect material.
The drawers are made of a heavy cardboard.
The drawers measure approx 17 cm (6.75 inches) high, 31 cm (12.25 inches) wide, by 36 cm (14 inches) deep.
It is in good condition, with wear to the edges in places as would be expected. The bottom drawer sticks ever so slightly at the half way position when opening.
