Vintage Railway Poster by Terance Cuneo c.1959. British Rail poster Royal Albert Bridge Saltash %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Large framed vintage British Rail poster ‘Royal Albert Bridge Saltash’ by the British artist Terance Cuneo (1907-1996) best known for his railway, industry and war art. Produced to celebrate the centenary of Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s great bridge across the Tamar in 1959, Cuneo shows us locomotive No 5021 ‘Whittington Castle crossing the bridge under full steam. With a signature in the image, also hidden within the scene is Cuneo’s famous trademark mouse (can you spot it?). Some minor damage to the edges, otherwise good condition, unfolded and presented in a vintage wooden frame.
