Vintage Solid Oak Pedestal Desk
This lovely writing desk dates from the first half of the twentieth century. It is constructed from solid oak with panelled sides. Beneath the top is a central drawer, flanked on either side by pedestals which appear to be matching, however on side are four small drawers and on the other are two small drawers over a deeper filing drawer. The central drawer retains its lock, but please note that no key is present. The desk is supported on castors. Please note that it can be unscrewed for ease of transportation if required.
Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There is some scratching and some identations to the top. The rear supporting rail has some loose screws at one side.
