Vintage Stratton Houses of Parliament. This convertible powder compact is suitable for both modern loose & pressed face powders. An outstandingly good Stratton " Slim Convertible " powder compact in the finest condition.This unused compact is adorned with the gilt Houses of Parliament insignia -the crowned portcullis which has come to be accepted during the twentieth century as the emblem of both Houses of Parliament on dark green lid.The vintage compact has never been used & it comes with the original box, pouch, powder pan insert, puff, sifter & sifter protective envelope & information leaflet. It is signed " Stratton " on the mirror bezel & the base. the base is decorated with the vertical lines & chevrons which indicate it was made in the 1970s. This beautiful Stratton compact has a perfect mirror which gives an accurate reflection. Measures 3 1/4 ".
