Ernest Waldron West studied under Frank Brangwyn whom he painted on several occasions.
Waldron West is best known for his portraits, but he painted in many other genres too, especially landscapes and religious scenes. He lived and worked in Worcestershire for most of his career. (1904–1994)

Waldron West paintings are on public display in a range of galleries and public buildings. They can be seen in the Worcester Porcelain Museum, The Wednesbury Museum & Art Gallery, The City Art Gallery & Museum, The Worcestershire Regimental Museum and at The University of Birmingham. Items available for viewing in Hereford(UK) by private appointment.
