Fine Quality Burr Walnut and marquetry side cabinet / bookcase. English C 1860
Shown here in excellent condition, having been lightly refurbished in our workshop.This delightful cabinet has 4 adjustable shelves for 6 rows of books. The centre section is covered in original velvet above which is an intricate section of Gothic style carving and featuring branches with Acorns. At the back is an original mirror plate.
This side cabinet is extensively trimmed with good quality ormolu in original and aged condition. The top is veneered in a tight and curly Burr Walnut which speaks volumes of how this cabinet has been lovingly cared for over the years.
