A freestanding and good quality, figured walnut 9 drawer kneehole desk of kidney shaped form. The pedestals having 4 bow fronted, cock beaded and graduated drawers with a central concave drawer, each retaining the original good quality cast brass laurel wreath handles and escutcheons (with keys). The top having a replaced, green hand dyed leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling and three quarter raised gallery. The whole standing on an off set moulding with 8 short Queen Ann style legs and carved detail. Sizes- Width...48''...122cm. Height...33''...84cm. Depth at Centre...22.5''...57cm.
