Wemyss Lidded Biscuit Barrel Circa 1900

For sale we have a lovely Wemyss earthenware biscuit barrel dating to around 1900.
The biscuit barrel is of the typical lidded cylindrical form and is decorated in the pink, crimson and green cabbage rose pattern in a white background. The base of the buscuit barrelis stamped Wemyss, signed Wemyss in ochre and carries the T. Goode & Co mark in blue for Thomas Goode, the upmarket London retailer who had the sole right to sell Wemyss in England during the late 19th and early 20th Century.
The vase is approximately 4 & 3/4 inches(12cm) high and is in an very condition other than the crazing one would expect in a piece of well cared for Wemyss of this period along with some staining to the interior, a very slight hairline to the inside, two minor chips to the base and some tiny glazing loss around the rim.
