William & Mary English Antique Oak Table

William & Mary English Antique Oak Table.
This is a super example of an English period oak writing table from the 17th century.
In very original condition, with the oak top having a moulded edge all the way around, the shaped apron runs all the way around the table, including the back which makes this period oak table able to stand in a room, not just against a wall.
The four turned legs are connected by a turned stretcher, with three drawers to the front, all run freely and each has the period brass swan neck handles.
The oak is a wonderful colour and patina, traditionally made using the pegged method, the top is pegged on with dowels.
An unusual model of a William & Mary, English 17th century oak table, probably intended to use as a writing table, in super condition.
This period oak antique side table is now in our Clitheroe antiques showrooms.
