External width 96cm or 3’ 1¾”

Condition Report
This chest is in excellent condition considering the age of the item. The brass octagonal handles and escutcheons are very old replacements (early Georgian period). The bun feet are old replacement feet (due to the age of the item and the fact that these chests would have sat on stone floors and this is not surprising). There is old Georgian hessian tape covering a redundant locking mechanism on the underside of the top drawers. There are some cup marks on the top of the chest but nothing significant considering the age of the item and this all adds to the character of the item. Free of active woodworm, solid in joint (not lose or wobbly) and ready to use.
