William IV Mahogany-Framed Carver Desk Chair

This lovely antique carver armchair dates from the first half of the nineteenth century. It has a lovely mahogany frame very much in the William IV style, with a rounded back rail and scrolled arms. It has a nice shape and style and is of lovely quality with an attractive antique patina. The chair is supported on turned legs at the front and swept legs at the back. It has a drop-in seat pad with later light green colour upholstery.
Condition: Overall this lovely chair is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, knocking and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the chair is overall a little faded. It is solid, but there is some slight movement in the joints. The chair has some shrinkage cracking in places and shows signs of restoration and repair. The upholstery is more modern and is a little faded with some marks.
The approx measurements are as follows:
87cm high, 53cm wide, 53cm deep (to maximums) 49cm high to seat. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
