A magnificent antique William IV mahogany armchair or desk chair, dating from circa 1835. The foliate-carved oblong top-rail with gadrooned top and oblong crossbar above a drop-in seat. With generously scrolled arms it stands on sabre legs to the front and rear. It has been newly re-upholstered. A beautiful statement piece that would make a handsome desk chair.

Solid and sturdy with wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly reupholstered. Old mends to the feet commensurate with age (see photos).
