William IV Naval sword in it's gilt brass bound leather scabbard. There is a gilt brass hilt with copper wire bound, bleached shagreen grip and folding guard. One of the gilded brass mounts to the blackened leather scabbard has a decorative scroll marked 'Salter - Sword Cutler & Co to HRH The Duke of Sussex Corner of the Adelphi 73 Strand London'. Guard has an applied fowled anchor and crown. The piped back blade has been heavily cleaned at some time and has small areas of pitting. Generally there is lots of original gilding remaining but there are some small areas of wear.

Approximately 84.5cm and blade 70cm.
