William IV scroll end chaise window seat
Really lovely original period William IV simulated rosewood scroll end chaise longue or window seat.
Great style with the scrolling end and overside lower end, standing on turned feet and castors.
The upholstery is vintage, so there are some signs of age to it, but it is certainly useable as is and the horsehair cushion is good too.
The size that this is, it could work very well as an extra seat in a living room, chaise longue or daybed, but also as a window seat too. It is finished to both sides, so you can free stand it if necessary.
The frame is solid and has been cleaned and wax polished.
Measuring:
31” or 79cm high
25” or 64cm wide
75” or 191cm long
Low end is 22 1/2” or 57cm high
Cushion 63” or 157cm long
Seat height 17” or 42cm Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
