Large English Oak Bureau - Fitted Interior - c1750
Presented in good antique condition - a quality bureau with pleasing proportion.
Rising from bracket feet with serpentine plinth the bureau offers three generously sized full width drawers complete with ebonised turned fittings.
The fall flap opens to provide a useful writing surface. There is a half baize leading to a fitted interior displaying a useful range of drawers and cubbies.
It is very solidly crafted in English oak, has strong dovetails, good craftsmanship and will make a fine addition to any home.
A perfect example of practicality and good design with traditional craftsmanship delivering a piece which will still be desirable in another two centuries time.
A classic English antique bureau with huge charm, history and warmth.
