WW2 Mira British Army GSTP pocket watch
WW2 Mira British Army GSTP pocket watch.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement, believed to be Mira, which is working nicely.
The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is chromium plated. There is general surface marking. The case back has some short scratches, and pin prick “ding” and some unevenness. The back of the watch has the military arrow and a rubbed GSTP mark and reference number. The back also has the name Bravingtons, a jeweller who re-branded and sold ex-military watches.
The later acrylic lens is in good condition, just very light marking if viewed through a jeweller’s loupe.
The black dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. Originally there would have been radium painted detailing to some of the numbers and to the hands but this has been removed.
The watch comes with a leather albert.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
