A VERY GOOD, WORLD WAR II, SWISS MADE, BLACK DIAL, 15 JEWEL, MILITARY POCKET WATCH.
A very good, World War II, Swiss made, Military Pocket Watch (c1940's).
This watch is a good example, in nice condition and in working order.
The base metal watch case is in very good overall condition. The rear of the case with the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) markings, "GS/TP" for general service time piece above the broad arrow military mark and the serial/issue number.
The black enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock.
The Swiss made, 15 jewel, lever movement is in excellent condition. It has been serviced, winds and sets smoothly as it should and is in very good working order.
The watch measures approximately 50mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown).
Overall, this is a good example, it would make a lovely addition to any collection. Specialists in Antique Pocket Watches & Vintage Wristwatches, Jewellery, Silver (including Scottish Provincial),Good Quality Antiques & Works of Art.
