Description

A handsome antique Victorian mahogany desk with drawers by Warings dating from circa 1895. In mellow well-figured mahogany it stands on elegant square tapered legs with original brass and ceramic casters. It has an over-sailing top above two drawers, each with original brass handles. A well-proportioned piece, it is a good size, offering lots of work space but not too large. This piece was probably made originally as a serving table or dressing table, but makes a wonderful desk.

Solid and sturdy. Good colour. marks, scuffs and wear commensurate with age. Two small filled holes on the top towards the back.
