Description

A handsome tall antique Edwardian inlaid mahogany music cabinet dating from circa 1910. In beautiful flame figured mahogany with satinwood inlay and chequered banding. Featuring a single door with original brass drop handle which closes firmly on a brass fitting. The door opens to reveal four slide out shelves which allow for easy access of sheet music/papers etc. There is a raised gallery to the top and it stands on tapered square legs terminating in spade feet. A really stylish and useful item in very good condition with good warm patina, it would make a great music cabinet, collectors chest, hall unit or filing cabinet. With makers label to the inside of the door: “E Shaw & Sons Cabinet Makers & Upholsterers Bradford.”
