A good quality antique Victorian mahogany writing table or desk with 2 drawers dating from circa 1880. In mellow well-figured mahogany it stands on elegant turned legs and has two capacious drawers, with turned handles. A well-proportioned piece, it is a good size, offering lots of work space but not too large. In original condition with wear and marks to the top commensurate with age – one side being faded more than the other. The drawers are stamped “R. PIPER”.

Solid and sturdy. Good colour. Some marks, scuffs and wear to the top commensurate with age. One side of the desk is faded and a lighter colour than the other. There is a small split to one side of the top.
