Description

A charming antique Georgian mahogany shield back chair dating from late 18th century. Featuring a moulded frame with five bar splat carved with wheatsheaf and inlaid central lozenge. It features an overstuffed seat in a pale pink velour and stands on square moulded legs joined by an H-stretcher. Solid and sturdy, would make a wonderful desk chair, bedroom chair or dressing table chair.

Good colour and patina. Solid and sturdy with wear and marks commensurate with age. Some old mends to the delicate splat/inlay commensurate with age.
