Description

A vintage oak and beech desk chair or captains chair dating from circa 1930s/1940s. With shaped arms and a curved top rail over eight spindles, with a scalloped saddle seat and tapered legs united by cross stretchers. In a beautifully figured solid oak and beech, very solid and sturdy, it would make a very stylish desk chair. The back is stamped with the “two cheese” marks the logo for the Utility Furniture Advisory Committee of 1942.
