Description

A stunning antique Arts and Crafts oak side table or lamp table, dating from circa 1900. With rectangular over-sailing top, lovely arched details to the apron and standing on four tapered legs with tear drop cut outs and united by an H-cross stretcher. The piece is unmarked but is reminiscent of E.G. Punnett for William Birch. It is constructed of substantial quarter-sawn oak and is very well-made, the medullary rays in the grain are very well defined. Solid and sturdy, a stylish table with good colour and beautiful original patina would make a great lamp table or side table.
