Description

A charming small antique Victorian burr walnut wine table or lamp table with a chess top dating from circa 1880. Featuring a well-figured octagonal top inlaid with chessboard and marquetry detailing with ebonised edge. It stands on four square turned legs with ebonised detailing, joined by an under-tier (ideal for holding chess pieces). With good colour and patina, this wonderful elegant table would make a great lamp table in a living room or hall as well a great chess table.

Condition Report:
Good original condition, with good colour and patina. With wear and marks commensurate with age. Some slight loss of veneer near marquetry inlay on top.
