A magnificent set of antique Victorian brass fire dogs by James Cartland & Sons circa 1886. The fire dogs or fire tool rests are fantastic quality, in very heavy turned brass and copper in an Aesthetic Movement influenced design. A wonderful set that would complement any fireplace.

James Cartland and Sons was founded 1823 as Dyer and Cartland in Loveday St., Birmingham and were renowned for their many registered designs, craftsmanship and quality. See: James Cartland & Son catalogue, 1886.
