18th century carved oak bible box dated I V 1727.With lovely primitive carving to the front,the date and initials to the top.
plain sides with original 3 ring hinges and original lock plate.
The left hand corner top hinge has snapped but the other to are fine and are strong enough to support the lid.
A good clean example
