An exceptional quality antique 18th century Georgian Old Sheffield Plate coffee pot dating to circa 1785

Of wavy oval form the whole profusely decorated and engraved with acanthus leaves and other foliate designs

Having a hinged cover with ebonised handle and finial

Both sides having armorial or shield cartouche one vacant the other with an armorial depicting an owl

In good condition with just minor age related wear and marks and with little or no plate loss
