A walnut writing desk made by Alan Peters of Bovey Tracey as a commission for a Christmas present. We have a copy of a card sent to the purchasor by Alan Peters refering to the desk.Alan Peters 1933-2009 was one of the most highly regarded of English furniture designers. His pieces will become highly sought after in years to come. Alan was an apprentice at the "Barnsley" workshop, he set up his own workshop in 1955. Alan received the OBE for his design services.
