Description

An 8 draw chest of drawers designed by internationally recognised designer Betty Joel and made at the Token Works in Kingston in August 1936. The chest has the signatures of the craftsmen and the date on the back, The chest is made from Australian Silky Oak, the draws are graduated and unusually there is also an extending table slide. The chest has been restored and is in excellent condition except for a series of small dents low down on the face of the second draw up from the bottom. Fortunately they are not easily noticable when looking at the chest from a standing position.
