Description

A unique occasional table designed, made and signed by Rupert Williamson in 1990 in is Wiltshire workshop from walnut and sycamore.
Tables have many uses other than for dining on. This table has no particular function other than to be used for displaying personal objects and looking beautiful.
Rupert Williamson is a renowned British designer and maker of furniture. He was a key member of the World Wide Craft Revival in the 1980's. He is known for his naturalistic inspired designs in contrasting woods.His work is regularly exhibited at the Contemporary Applied Arts Gallery in London. His signature dining chair designed in 1975 is now in the Victoria & Albert museum.
One of the legs has been repaired. When this table was originally made it would have been sold for between £3000.00 and £3500.00.
