Description

A set of 6 light fumed solid oak dining chairs made by Robert Thompson Craftsmen in 1967. The square backs have slightly rounded sides and a rippled effect back, created with an adze. The armchairs have two solid oak arms which have a dip in the centre and are pegged jointed into the uprights. The chairs seats are upholstered in hide held in position by steel studs. Beneath the seat, the uprights become enlarged to form the back legs, and the front legs have the faceted tapering legs with a carved mouse on one leg, finishing on large block feet. Stylish and fine quality set of chairs.This particular style of dining chair was Robert Thompson's favourite, the design is simple and the chairs are comfortable. We have the original bill of sale.
2 of the chairs are armchairs. The chairs are in excellent condition but the light tan leather seats are stained. We will reupholster the seats in a leather of your choice inclusive in the asking price.
