Description

A solid light fume oak refectory table made by Robert Thompson's Craftsmen in 1967. The table top is made from 4cm thick hand adzed oak. The rectangular top has rounded corners and the typical rippled surface created with an adze. Beneath the top the table stands on a classic trestle end which is peg jointed into position and has a solid oak cross stretcher. On one of the legs is the carved mouse. It is in very good condition except for some darkening on the adzed highlights at either end of the table.
Today a table like this would cost £2455.00 from the workshops.
