Description

This is a framed proof for a lithograph for the very well known artist and print maker Harvey Daniels. Signed and dated 1977 also marked proof in pencil.The piece I believe is silk screen? with collaged pencil work applied over the print. It features his well known cat motif. 87cm x 67cm including frame.

His work has been likened to that of Matisse, Mondrian and Kandinsky. It is housed in such great institutions as the Museum of Modern Art, and the Metropolitan Museum in New York, as well as the V&A in London. He lectured at the Tate Gallery, London and often exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London.
