Description

An early 19th cent mahogany and fruitwood treen table cotton spool stand with brass reel holders with a turned column in the centre of the rectangular base, this has provision for a pin cushion on the top, The stand sits on its four original turned bun feet. The condition is excellent and all original with its lovely old colour and polished surface. Sizes: 8 ¼ “(21cms) wide, 4 ¾ “(11cms) deep, 8”(20cms) high. Date circa 1825.
I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
