Absolutely stunning large Cold Cast Bronze study of a Dachshund bitch signed Doris Lindner cast by the famouse Heredities company and dating to 1976 - very collectable and one of the most lifelike detailed Dachsie sculpture to be produced. Doris Lindner was second to none in her animal sculptures and this one is perfectly observed and correct in every detail.
This Celebratory Edition of 1001 studies of "Boo" was cast to congratulate Doris Lindner on her 80th Birthday July 8, 1976. Made by Heredities Limited, Stonehill Mill, Kirkby Stephen, Westmorland , England . The female dachorshund is lying on her back in a very playful pose. Doris Lindner (1896-1979) was a renowned animal sculpture. Has a break to rear left leg(see photos) which has been glued back ( hardly noticeable unless very close up to the item) but could be professionally restored otherwise in excellent condition with no damage or restoration and is signed Doris Lindler.
Height 4 1/4 ", length 10 3/4" and very heavy postage is quite expensive.
