Description
Reynold of Ludlow Oak Cotswold school blanket box, supplied to Heals. Stopped chamfering to the supports, pegged tenon and chamfered frame construction, with fielded panelled, reeded and cleated top board, and wrought iron hinges, a Cedar back and Elm base boards, Circa 1950. Established in Ludlow in 1946, Arthur Basil Reynolds (1903-1960), a Quaker, had served a cabinet making apprenticeship and then worked for Stanley Webb Davis in Windermere.
