Description

Here we have for sale a delightful fully hallmarked early 20th century Georgian style helmet cream/milk jug with a vacant cartouche.

The jug portrays a chased and engraved pastoral farmyard scene with a punched beaded border and a beautiful gilt interior.

George Nathan & Ridley Hayes were known for their quality reproductions and this is indeed a fine quality replica of a George III period silver creamer.

The jug has the more collectible Chester assay mark with very detailed decoration of the cow, the trees, the birds and outbuildings, a charming and vivid scene indeed.

Condition report:

The gilt wash interior is in very good order and the silver jug is in very good condition with no large scratches or dents, there is an ever so slight knock to the rim of base which only noticeable upon close inspection, the jug has the usual light surface scratches consistent with its age.

This would make a splendid Christmas present, Birthday present or treat for yourself and be the perfect addition to any silver collection.
