Georgian Bright Cut Solid Silver Cream Jug

Description
George III period cream jug, which has an applied reeded border, reeded loop handle with a delicate foliate bright cut engraved band. This fine silver jug has a wonderful neoclassical foliate bright cut engraved cartouche with period monogram and sits on a flat base. Creamers were developed during the early eighteenth century with the increasing popularity for tea drinking in the U.K. so this is a fairly early example of the creamer/milk jug.
The details are as follows:
Maker: Crispin Fuller
Assay Office: London
Date mark: 1799
Height: 10 cm (max)
Length: 11 cm (max)
Width: 5.5 cm (max)
Weight: 93 grams
Condition report: This is an overall excellent example. There are some dinks and some deep scratches to the base (see photos) along with the expected age related wear (such as light surface scratches), which is to be expected for its over 220 year age. However, this is a fine solid silver creamer and in marvelous condition with no significant wear or damage.
This George III cream jug would make a superb Christmas present, Anniversary or Birthday gift or just a treat for yourself.
