Description

Here we have for sale a George III period silver Old English pattern teaspoon. This spoon was made by one of the most highly regarded family of silversmiths, the Batemans. The spoon has an engraved monogram of J L which is unusually on the reverse of the spoon just above the hallmarks.

Condition report

In good condition for its age of 216 years, some very minor wear to the bowl of the spoon, age related tarnish marks and surface scratches.
