Adams worked initially with his mother in law creating flatware with her between 1834-40 a joint makers mark was created. From 1840 -1883, Adams worked under his own name and thus registered his own 'GA' mark that you see on this spoon. Adams was very successful and even exhibited at the 1851 Great Exhibition in London. George Adams sold the business to Adwinkle and Slater in the 1883.
