Description

Here we have for sale a beautiful George V period hallmarked Silver card case with stunning repousse Rococo decoration: scrolls and flowers, which cover both the front and rear of the case, the front and rear both have Rococo asymmetrical cartouches, with the front one having a period monogram ie (there are initials engraved on the case).

Condition report

In very good condition for its 118 year age with light surface scratches and minor tarnish marks, the odd small dent is evident most noticeably to both cartouches, the case is free of splits and has good corners, the hinge and lid are in excellent order.

A delightful Edwardian period silver card case that would make an ideal gift or a perfect addition to any silver collection. As well as being a useable practical case to hold business cards or credit cards.
