Description

Here we have for sale a beautiful George V period hallmarked butter dish in the form of a scallop shell that rests on three ball feet. This dish comes complete with its original fitted box and a matched hallmarked silver butter spreader/knife with shell handle by a different maker.

Condition report:

Butter dish:

In very good condition with minor age related wear, light surface scratches and tarnish marks plus a couple of minute deeper scratches/dints.

Butter knife/spreader:

In good original condition, with age related surface scratches and some deeper scratches and marks.

Box:
In good overall condition with working catch, some age related wear to the exterior most noticeably to the box lid where there is some damage, the interior is worn in places but still clean and presentable.
