Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to offer for sale this delightful George II period mid 18th Century silver Hanoverian pattern tablespoon. This particular spoon has the rare and desirable shell back design to the reverse of the bowl.

The spoon is monogrammed with the letter J, it has a nice legible set of bottom marked hallmarks and the shell design is reasonably crisp.

This George II serving spoon would make an excellent Christmas or Birthday present or a treat for yourself and would look stunning on display, and be a delightful piece of early Georgian silverware for your collection.

Condition report:

In overall good condition for its age of 265 years, the spoon has age related marks and scratches some of which are deeper plus a small deep scratch to the bowl and some very minor knocks to the edge, but is still a lovely, collectable example.
